Comedy Central Insider: Which Comics Should You Watch?

According to the 2010 census, there was an 4.8% increase of stand-up comedians across the country. That figure translates to one stand-up in every five households. With all that comedy out there, it’s hard to pick what to see. That’s why we turn to the comedy professionals at Carolines on Broadway.

Carolines is showcasing for their live New York Comedy Festival Comics to Watch show this Wednesday, August 17 at 7pm. Comics to Watch features the best up-and-coming young comedians from across the country and this showcase will determine who performs in the November show (which will be live-streamed on Jokes.com).

Nate Bargatze is MCing and the line-up features Sean Donnelly, Sam Morril, Lance Weiss, Ben Kissel, Joey McDevitt, Phoebe Robinson, Francoise Gordon, Sean Attebury, Josh Rabinowitz and Narinder Singh. Carolines and Comedy Central have done all the research for your stand-up enjoyment. Send them a thank you note sometime.

Cover is $15 with a two-drink minimum, but I heard from a guy who knows a guy that if you mention the code CTW, they’ll waive the cover.

Comedians Prove That Hindsight Is More Than Just 20/20

Your typical Tuesday night likely does not include hearing a story of someone being dry humped by a child at a Southern Baptist church pool party.
