To celebrate World Wrestling Entertainment’s SummerSlam event this Sunday at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, SiriusXM Radio’s Sam Roberts, host of the aptly named “Sam Roberts’ Show” took his gabfest out of the studio and into the “squared circle’” that is Carolines on Broadway’s showroom for a very special live remote broadcast with special guests WWE/NXT “talking head” Corey Graves, legendary sports entertainment pioneer Paul Heyman and Sam Roberts’ Show regular Katie Linendoll.

A large contingent of the WWE Universe came out to hear what Graves and Heyman had to say about this weekend’s big events, which, in addition to the sold out SummerSlam, include WWE’s NXT Takeover on Saturday night at 8:00 PM and WWE’s flagship program, Monday Night RAW, on Monday at 9:00 PM, all emanating from the Barclays Center.

The Sam Roberts’ Show live remote broadcast marked the third time this year that SiriusXM and Carolines on Broadway have tag teamed to present live programming from the club.  Earlier this year, the club hosted broadcasts of the sat caster’s “Unmasked” with Jim and Jeannie Gaffigan and, most recently, with comedian Brian Regan.  Last year, “Unmasked” programs celebrating the 20th anniversary of the “Opie & Anthony” show and featuring Dane Cook originated from the Carolines Showroom, as well.

Sam Roberts’ Show from Carolines on Broadway will air on Friday, August 21at 12:00 NOON EDT on SiriusXM’s Opie Radio, XM 103/Sirius 206 and on SiriusXM On Demand.

WWE’s SummerSlam will broadcast live this Sunday at 7:00 PM on the WWE Network and pay-per-view.
