SiriusXM Radio’s Sway in the Morning Broadcasts Live from Carolines on Broadway

On January 26, SiriusXM Radio‘s popular morning show, Sway in the Morning, returned to broadcast live from Carolines on Broadway.   Sway Calloway and his crew of Heather B, Devan “DB” Bartan, Tracy G, Kelly Kinkaid, Orlando Quinones and DJ Wonder brought a smooth blend of cool conversation, hot music and side-splitting laughter to their fans, who packed the house to see the show live and in person.   It marked the first time that the show, heard on SiriusXM’s Shade 45 Channel, originated from Carolines on  Broadway since November of 2016, when it kicked off the New York Comedy Festival.

The morning festivities included the Sway’s Comedy Search competition, where young aspiring comedians performed a short set with Sway’s crew and the live audience determining the winner.  DB hosted the competition, which featured performances by Subhah Agarwal, Reggie Edwards, Eva Evans, Josh Hyman, Sharief Johnson, Canice Nanna and Crystal Powell.  Sharief Johnson won the competition and will receive his very own headlining show as part of Carolines on Broadway’s Breakout Artist Comedy Series.

As a special treat for the live audience, “Ashy Larry” himself, the great Donnell Rawlings, dropped in to entertain the crowd with some stand-up.

Sway in The Morning airs Monday – Friday, from 8:00 AM – 12:00 NOON ET on SiriusXM Radio’s Shade 45 Channel.  For more information visit and follow Sway on Instagram and Twitter, @RealSway.
