On December 8, the 11th annual “Cool Comedy — Hot Cuisine” show to benefit the Scleroderma Research Foundation took place at Carolines on Broadway.  Bob Saget took a night off from his hit Broadway show “Hand to God” to host the event and help raise awareness about scleroderma, a chronic systemic autoimmune disease characterized by hardening of the skin.   Saget, an SRF board member, lost his sister to the disease.   Louis CK and Michael Che provided the “cool comedy,” keeping the standing room only crowd rolling with laughter throughout the night, while LA-based chef and restaurateur Susan Feniger and her staff provided the four-course “hot cuisine.”   Among those in the crowd were Counting Crows front man Adam Duritz, Dana Delany, Saget’s former “Full House” co-star Ashley Olsen, and “SNL” alum Kevin Nealon. Bravo’s Andy Cohen joined Saget to conduct a live silent auction in which attendees bid on experience items including a New Year’s Eve concert with John Mayer & The Dead at the The Dead, tickets to a dress rehearsal show taping of “Saturday Night Live,” an Ultimate Football Fantasy that includes two tickets to Super Bowl 50 in San Francisco, and one year of VIP access to shows at Carolines on Broadway.   The event raised more than $750,000.
