TEAM COCO AND THE NEW YORK COMEDY FESTIVAL TEAM UP TO SHOWCASE THE HOTTEST UP-AND-COMING COMEDIANS
Conan O’Brien’s Team Coco and the Festival will team up once again to present Comics to Watch, the annual live stand-up showcase featuring the very best new comedians from around the country. Team Coco and the Festival producers conduct an exhaustive search to find the top young comics to perform on the show in front of industry executives and comedy fans. Some of the comics who have performed on Comics to Watch in the past are SNL’s Michael Che, Ali Wong from her Netflix special “Baby Cobra”, The Tonight Show writers Jo Firestone and Josh Johnson, Andrew Santino from Showtime’s “I’m Dying Up Here” and SNL alum Brooks Whelan. One of the comedians who performs at this year’s Comics to Watch will receive a coveted spot performing on TBS’ Conan in 2019. Partnered sponsor TBS will also be taking over Sony Hall in Manhattan to bring TEAM COCOHOUSE to the festival this year. Team CocoHouse will showcase a nightly lineup of comics handpicked by Conan along with podcasts, merchandise, giveaways and special appearances by friends of Team Coco, as well as O’Brien himself.
This year’s COMICS TO WATCH will feature the following comedians: Catherine Cohen (New York), Mohanad Elshieky (Portland), Robby Hoffman (Los Angeles), Orlando Leyba (Los Angeles), Gavin Matts (Vancouver), Rebecca O’Neal (Chicago), Corey Rodrigues (Boston), Julia Shiplett (New York), Paige Weldon (Los Angeles) and Aaron Woodall (Salt Lake City).
