“Consistently on point whether he’s talking about Somali pirates, Jesus, or, on Twitter, whatever happens to be on his mind at any given moment”
-Brooklyn Magazine, October 2013. “The 50 Funniest People In Brooklyn”
Simeon Goodson is a native of Brooklyn, NY who has been performing in the comedy clubs, bars, and alternative venues of New York City since 2004. He has opened for SNL’s Michael Che at Caroline’s on Broadway, performed across the United States with the “Comedy’s Best Kept Secret Tour” and performed on Hannibal Burress’ “Comedy Camisado Tour”.
Simeon’s comedy style is self described as a verbal manifestation of his inner conflict. “Constantly battling within are opposing forces, on one hand urging me to be an upstanding citizen and on the other an intimate desire to punch you in the face.” His clever writing and unconventional delivery allow him to do both.
In 2014, Simeon began work on his one man show entitled “Seven Hennys”. Beginning with iterations all across New York City 7 Hennys has developed a cult following ranging from casual fans to childhood friends to seasoned professional comedians. The final 7 Hennys will be performed at Carolines in June 2015.
