It was announced earlier today by Entertainment Weekly that NBC’s hit-comedy Undateable, which second season premieres tonight at 9 p.m. EST, will air its first live episode on May 5.  The show will record two live broadcasts of the episode for East Coast and West Coast audiences.

As Entertainment Weekly points out, NBC is no stranger to the live sitcom format. Tina Fey’s hit show 30 Rock aired two live episodes during it’s seven season run and last year it was announced that the network was developing a live sitcom.

If you would like to see the stars of Undateable live in stand-up form, you’re in luck! Chris D’Elia, Ron Funches, and Brent Morin will all headline Carolines in the coming months or you can see them along with cast-mate Rick Glassman on “The Undateable Tour” later this month!
