Baskets Stars Louie Anderson and Martha Kelly Host Viewing Party of Baskets Season Finale After Stand Up Show

Baskets

Louie Anderson and Martha Kelly, stars of FX Network’s hit series Baskets, hosted a live viewing party of the show’s season finale for fans who attended Anderson’s stand-up show at the club.

Anderson’s headlining gig, which include shows from March 24 – 26, marked 30 years to the month since he made his heading debut at Carolines which, at the time, was located in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood.

Baskets was co-created and is executive produced by Louis C.K., Zach Galifianakis and Jonathan Krisel. Executive producers also include M. Blair Breard, Dave Becky, Marc Gurvitz and Andrea Pett-Joseph.  Baskets airs Thursdays at 10:00 PM on FX, and has been picked up for a second season.

“Chip Baskets” (Zach Galifianakis) wants to follow his dream of being a French clown—however, reality keeps interfering. Saddled with financial difficulties and facing an impenetrable language barrier, he moves back home to Bakersfield with high hopes. There, he is forced to confront his past while working as a rodeo clown and competing with his siblings for his mother’s approval and affection.

The matriarch of the Baskets clan, “Christine Baskets” (Anderson), cares deeply about appearances and finds herself constantly embarrassed by Chip and his brother. She’s so embarrassed in fact, that she adopted a younger, better set of twins so she’d have something good in her life to brag about. Martha Kelly plays “Martha,” Chip’s insurance claims adjustor/assistant. She’d also say that she’s Chip’s friend. He would not.
