The Ms. Foundation for Women Celebrates the 21st Comedy Night at Carolines

The Ms. Foundation for Women

The Ms. Foundation for Women and Carolines on Broadway teamed up once again for the 21st Annual Comedy Night at Carolines on October 25.  The evening, which was themed “Laughing Our Way to the Revolution!,” was hosted by the hilarious Judy Gold, who pulled no punches when discussing Donald Trump.  “I hate that orange piece of s***… more than Toledo!”   The hilarious show also included performances by Kate Clinton, Katie Goodman, Aparna Nancherla, Hadiyah Robinson, Liza Treyger, Michelle Wolf, and Sasheer Zamata.  Clinton pulled the ultimate bait-and-switch when stated:  “I’m very sorry to say this is the last comedy event for the Ms. Foundation here at Carolines…” which was met by a collective sigh from the audience.   But she quickly finished her statement:  “… without a woman as president of the United States!”  The relieved audience quickly broke out into wild applause.

The mission of the Ms. Foundation for Women builds women’s collective power to realize a nation of justice for all.  The Ms. Foundation’s work is guided by its vision of a just and safe world where power and possibility are not limited by gender, race, class, sexual orientation, disability or age.  The Ms. Foundation believes that equality and inclusion are the cornerstones of a true democracy in which the worth and dignity of every person are valued.
