Breakout Artist Comedy Series: Brian Bahe
Brian Bahe is an Indigenous (enrolled member of the Tohono O’odham Nation, and a member of the Hopi and Navajo Nation), gay (vers bottom) comedian, writer, and turquoise jewelry model originally from Phoenix, Arizona, now based in New York City.
He’s taped a standup set for Comedy Central Digital which will be released later this year. His writing has appeared in McSweeney’s. He has been featured in NPR, Vulture, and The Los Angeles Times. He was one of IllumiNative’s “25 Native American Comedians to Follow in 2020.” He was profiled in the book We Had a Little Real Estate Problem: The Unheralded Story of Native Americans & Comedy by Kliph Nesteroff. Brian Bahe graduated from Arizona State University with degrees in English and Psychology (mostly including this so people know ASU is actually ok).
Carolines on Broadway is proud to present the Breakout Artist Comedy Series, a series that puts the spotlight on the very best and brightest emerging stand-up comedians in their very own headlining show. These are the comedians that are currently plying their trade and honing their craft on their way to becoming the stars of tomorrow.
