Next UP! Comedy & Talent Showcase is for comedians & artists that want to break into the big rooms. Carolines is known for breaking new talent. Next Up! is the event that positions you to be NEXT UP! Hosted by Ameliaismore Our featured comedian HerShe the Entertainer and host Ameliaismore mission is to bring great vibes and laughter all night. Come early and listen to our radio broadcast as we interview all the artists performing that night. Our resident DJ for the night is NY’s DJ Dmecca!!!! Radio at 6pm showtime at 7. Amelia Moore (aka Ameliaismore) a “Comeback Champion” is also an Author, Actor, Educator, TV Host, Journalist, Consultant, former Record Executive and SheEO!  Succinctly, Amelia is an all-round talent & entrepreneur.

With over 25 years of experience in the entertainment business from acting on set to running record labels to even recently  hosting and producing  her own radio and TV shows, Ameliaismore does it all!

As the SheEO of Buzz Builder (BMC); her consulting firm, she believes you are only as good as who knows how good you are; She asks all her clients: “If you are the best and no one knows… what are you?”

Recently, Amelia has launched her first book that is an executive’s handbook on female diversity training. Entitled; SheEO vs CEO Amelia aspires to help unify the gender divide in corporate America. The verses in her title is not about competition.  Instead, verses will mean the words you should use for effective communication.

In her book she explains, by understanding the inherent differences between the genders you will then see and understand the similarities. That understanding can then establish a common ground and corporate DNA.

Her new TV shows: “Different Views One Voice” on MNN, The Listening Room (UBCTVNetwork.com) and two new podcasts launching March 2022 enables her to enjoy her passion which is telling stories and discovering new ideologies.

Her passion for storytelling ignited her journalism. For the past ten years Amelia writes for Floss Magazine, UBCTV and formerly Bronze Magazine.  Now a board member of Floss she hopes to broaden the scope for their readers to enjoy the numerous lifestyles life has to offer, even if its vicariously.

Amelia’s life story has always been… start, grow and repeat with something new.  An example of that ideology was Bronze Magazine.

Bronze Magazine’s very first article highlighted Amelia Moore, who then segued into being a contributor for the publication as Ameliaismore. Five years later, Bronze Magazine then chose Ameliaismore to grace the cover of their magazine to celebrate their 5th anniversary and remind their readers of the magazine’s growth. Start, grow and repeat!

Succinctly, Education, Child Advocacy along with women empowerment and paying tribute to the roots of our music is Amelia’s ministry!  Acknowledged for her work Amelia recently became a recipient of Schneps Media; Powerful Women in Business Award.

Other awards include the Black Excellence in Business Award from Tennessee State, a Proclamation from Brooklyn Borough President now NYC Mayor Eric Adams for her dedication to women empowerment and a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Congressional Member Grace Meng.

Amelia is always seeking what she can do next to help make tomorrow better than today.  In August of 2018 she received a letter of recognition from NYC Mayor DeBlasio for her work with a South Bronx step team who stopped gun violence in their community for 276 days.

Amelia expanded their advocacy along with her business partner Alisa Pratt to other locations such as: LA for WE Day sponsored by WE, Texas for SXSW sponsored by Female Quotient and Cannes, France for Cannes Lions sponsored by Facebook.

The girls also were on ABC receiving a $20K grant to continue their advocacy from Allstate and then appeared on a Times Square billboard during AD Week sponsored by Shelly Zalis and Clear Channel.

Whether it’s speaking in front of the United Nations NGO Center for Media and Peace Initiatives, the US Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the National Black MBA Association, or the Far Rockaway PTA or helping launch a new national non-profit igniting progressive change for humanity titled: @Amer_Icanican, Amelia welcomes every opportunity to teach, inform and advocate.

Which is why her next move is to radio. Generating progressive communication for positive social change where a woman is judged by her skill set and not her gender. Yes! @ameliaismore is your host with the most who is Moore than what you bargained for so…. stay tuned for Moore!

 

HerShe the Entertainer

HerShe embarked on her comedy career in 2009. It all started with the passion for entertainment of singing, modeling, hosting, writing and acting. So she decided to take her entertainment passion further when she took up a comedy course at Macomb Community College in Michigan. After completion HerShe landed her first Comedy opportunity at a well known comedy club called Mark Ridleys Comedy Castle in which she continues to perform at today. Comedy expeditiously provided an opportunity for HerShe to travel and perform alongside some of Motown’s biggest names in Comedy such as Coco, Mike Bonner, Martini Harris, Coolaide, Foolish as well as some known comedy legends such as Nick Lewis and DS Sanders just to name a few.

In April 2012 she landed her first radio opportunity. She Co-Hosted Turbulence “Detroit Riot Radio” on WHPR with well known radio personalities. Later that year she landed another Co-Host spot on Worldwide Core Radio. Directly after she landed two starring roles in major plays titled “Enemy in My House Too” and “Against All Odds”.

In 2013 she released her freshmen DVD “Got The Last Laugh”. That summer she featured for some leading names from Def comedy jam and wild’n out. She also performed as a feature with Rodney Perry in Atlanta. HerShe decided to take her career south, so in the winter of 2014 she received her very own radio show “Mid Morning Mix with HerShe & FITT” on WGIV radio in Charlotte NC. She continues to branch out and eagerly anticipates the release of her sophomore DVD “Dying Laughing” in the fall of 2018. On July 20th 2016 she started touring with 3 other ladies known as the “Underground Comedy Queens”.

February of 2017 she traveled to San Diego, CA to perform at the festival of laughs. March she perform at the Rock House inside of the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada. As she continued to travel in April she was presented with an opportunity to headline at the infamous “House of Comedy”in AZ. July she was asked to be apart of the “Black Girl Giggles” festival in New Orleans, LA. She performs here yearly now as a featured act. She also was granted the opportunity to host the Inkster Festival with headliner Alexander Zonjic.

Top of 2018 she was presented with the opportunity to Co-Host “Skeeter Murray’s Real Talk After Dark” radio show which airs on Comcast & WOW channel 18. She was also asked to return back to New Orleans to perform on several shows for the Black Girl Giggles festival. Though only 8 months into the year she’s already travel to several states as well as Mexico and Canada to perform.

2019 She showed no signs of slowing down performing in L.A., Tennessee, New Orleans, Atlanta, Charlotte just to name a few. She was asked to featured for one of the biggest comedy clubs in Atlanta called the OaK. That weekend she also did a celebrity roast of Bow Wow. As her schedule continues to add up she continues to work harder and longer. She looks forward to the next chapter in her journey and all the blessings it has to offer.

Later that year she was a feature for a Comedy Cruise setting sail to Antigua and St. Lucia. She has gone on to feature on the Michael Colyar show, Co Host on The Rodney Perry Morning Show several times. She Co Hosted a successful improv night at the world famous Uptown Comedy Theatre in Atlanta GA. She has also headlined The House of Comedy in Columbus South Carolina, Xtreme Comedy Club in Las Vegas, Mark Ridleys in Royal Oak MI, House of Comedy in Arizona as well as many other states. This international comedian brings a slew of funny for every occasion.
