Menuhin Hart aka” The Black Captain” is a comedian, writer,and actor born in the Bronx NY, and raised in Atlanta GA. He is a man with a myriad of different talents such as voice-over, and music composer, and he has entertained his audience through movies, television, podcasts, and on stage.

Menuhin was part of the Meisner Acting Class in NYC with Joanna Beckson, which was the beginning of his acting career in films and comedy sketches. He acted in comedy sketches that aired on Comedy Central such as “Night Pigeon,” “Pitch Please,” and Roy Wood Jr.’s one-hour stand-up special “Father Figure.” He also played different characters in indie films such as “I Do,” “Carbon Copy,” “Sell Your Body,” “Artificial,” and “Young Grasshopper.”

Menuhin also created a complete Spectrum Commercial project as the writer, audio engineer, music composer, and voice-over actor. He wrote a comedy sketch and recorded voiceovers to promote new products for the company, as well as create an original commercial music/jingle. Menuhin also created two independent projects such as his two podcasts “Menuhin’s MoviePass Podcast,” and “Vintage Static,” (featured on BuzzFeed as “The 14 Most Addictive Storytelling Podcasts of 2015”), where he created his own voice-over characters and original music/soundtrack.

Menuhin’s stand-up career started in 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia and within a few years of moving to NYC, he was performing at comedy clubs all over the city including Gotham Comedy Club, Caroline’s Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, and more. More recently, he was a final contestant at the “NBC Stand-Up for Diversity” and “New York’s Funniest Stand-Up Audition Showcase” at Caroline’s Comedy Club in 2019.

In 2020 he released an instrumental album “Inner Soundtrack “and a  VoiceOver narrative project called “The Black Captain “ and he has more on the way.
