The New York Comedy Festival and Audible, the leading creator and provider of premium audio storytelling, are teaming up to present the first-ever “Tall Tales of Comedy,” a national competition that has brought together the best emerging comedic storytellers from across the country, to craft hilariously engaging narratives.
The competition held auditions at leading venues and comedy clubs across the country including Cobb’s Comedy Club in San Francisco, Dynasty Typewriter in Los Angeles, Zanies Comedy Club in Chicago, Creek and the Cave in Austin and The Bell House in Brooklyn. Now, ten finalists across these markets will be selected by the NYCF for this special performance.
Finalists will be chosen based on their ability to perform a routine of comedic storytelling, in which many artists and comedians are increasingly performing across digital platforms. The winner of the competition will be chosen by a panel of industry professionals and will receive a first look meeting with an Audible programming representative to pitch and explore ideas for comedic audio content for consideration plus Master + Dynamic wireless noise canceling professional headphones.
